Rocklin Unified School District v. PERB
U.S. Supreme Court
FiledOn behalf of Our Duty–USA, the Child & Parental Rights Campaign filed an amicus brief in the United States Supreme Court in support of the Rocklin Unified School District (No. 25-1189). Rocklin enacted a policy requiring that parents be notified if a child expresses gender confusion or requests to be treated as the opposite sex at school. The teachers union challenged the policy as an “unfair labor practice,” and California’s Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) ordered the district to rescind it. This brief urges the Supreme Court to grant review and affirm that parents — not unions or state agencies — have the fundamental constitutional right to know and participate when their child expresses gender confusion at school. Prepared by Mary E. McAlister and Vernadette R. Broyles of CPRC.
